Advanced DJ Turntable
Technics SL-1210M5G
If you're looking for the crem de la crem of DJ Turntables, you're looking at it right here. This piece of DJ equipment is a must for all nightclubs and pro DJs. The tone arm adjustments they have made to this baby make record skipping a thing of the past. It is a scratch DJ's holy grail of turntables. Super powerful direct drive turntable that makes all the others cry. Bright blue LEDs light it up, and adjustable brake times top it off. The price keeps it out of the range of most beginner DJs though, so unless you're loaded, scroll on down to see what we recommend for beginners.
Beginner DJ Turntable
Numark TT500
The Numark TT-500 is the best beginner/intermediate vinyl turntable out there. At under $300, it fits many budgets. It has a powerful direct drive system, and the interchangeable aluminum tone arm system includes both straight and S-shaped tone arms. The Numark TT500 is highly responsive with instant reverse and adjustable start and brake speeds. Powder-coated steel top, rubberized base. Anti-drag aluminum platter reduces excess rotating friction. User-replaceable pitch fader. Removable aluminum super-bright LED target light and strobe. Precise cue, height, and anti-skate adjustments. ±8, 10, 20 and 50% selectable pitch ranges. Turntable speeds include 33, 45, and 78rpm, plus reverse. This baby is loaded for how cheap it is. I highly recommend it to all new aspiring DJs with a light budget.
Intermediate DJ Turntable
Technics 1200 MK2
The Technics 1200 MK2 is the turntable that started it all. It features total quartz-locked, continuous-pitch adjustment up to ±8%, wow and flutter of .01%, and rumble at -78dB. Its high-torque motor provides quick starts, while a precision-molded aluminum die-cast cabinet with heavy rubber base absorbs vibrations. Features a highly sensitive low-mass tone arm with gimbal suspension. This baby has seen decades of use. It's solid design has made it one of the most reliable turntables to date. If given proper care, this thing will last you 20 years. Great all around vinyl turntable. The 1200 is what I and most other DJs grew up using, and continue to use.
