DJ Books
There are a lot of DJ books out there, so we decided to go through them and find the best ones. Check out our reviews of the best DJ books that will help you learn to DJ better:
THE CLUB DJ GUIDE

This guide is our top recommendation. There are a whole mess of books out there on how to learn to DJ, with mixing tips, scratching techniques, and so forth. DJ videos can go over that stuff much better than a book can.
But The Club DJ Guide doesn’t go over the same typical “learn to DJ” topics. It goes over the BUSINESS side of DJing. How to land DJ gigs, how DJs should market themselves, working with club owners, increasing your income, building a fan base, and much more.
That’s why it gets our 5 star rating. It’s also an eBook, which means you can download and read it right away. No waiting for shipping. It gets updated every year, and owners get the new updated versions for free. Get this book!
MOBILE DJ HANDBOOK

This DJ book is more for those of us who are in the mobile DJ business. If that’s you, than this book is a great resource on how to sell your services, what to charge, marketing for mobile DJs, etc.
It covers how to expand and develop your mobile DJ business. The book also goes over tips on motivating audiences, games and music styles, and even club lighting for mobile DJs. If you don’t plan on becoming a mobile DJ, than this book probably isn’t for you. But if you are, this is a great DJ book. There is a lot of money in mobile DJing, especially if you build it up as a business.
DJING FOR DUMMIES

This is the DJ book for new DJs. Whether you’re a bedroom DJ looking to improve, or an accomplished amateur making the transition to playing live, DJing For Dummies has the accessible information you need. From what to buy (and what not to buy), mastering beats, and reading a crowd, to all the tricks, techniques, and flourishes of a pro DJ, you’ll be getting hands up in the air in no time.
For the beginner dj the books explains in detail what a lot of us might be embarrassed to ask, and for the more experienced DJ you’ll still get some great tips you may not have known about.
